SITUATED half-way between the monastery and the Youth Center, the new Arts and Crafts Center now houses the principal showroom for Valyermo Ceramics. This is the only place where Valyermo Ceramics "Seconds" may be purchased year-round at a significant savings over the retail cost of "firsts".  The difference in quality between "firsts" and "seconds" is often impossible for the untrained eye to detect.

EVERY aspect of manufacture, from the rolling-out and stamping of clay to the final glazing may be witnessed at the Arts and Crafts Center.

THE large kilns used for the bisque-firing and the final glaze-firing are located at the very back of the Arts and crafts Center.

THE studio of Fr. Maur Van Dorslaer, O.S.B. is the source of the many hundreds of Valyermo Ceramics that are available for sale at the Arts and Crafts Center.  Details of ceramics are available (and plaques may be purchased online) at:
