BORN IN the Philippines, Fr. Matthew worked as a Certified Public Accountant before receiving his initial monastic formation at the Monastery of the Transfiguration in the Philippines.  He came to the United States and entered Saint Andrew’s Abbey, where he made simple profession in November, 2001.

He has studied liturgy in the Philippines, and completed his theological studies at Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota. He was ordained to the priesthood on July 23, 2005.
